anniversary Weekend extravaganza

Saturday morning I woke up not knowing what the day had in store.  That lasted momentarily as James could not wait to give me my anniversary gifts.  He first surprised me with some amazing artwork.  We had bought artwork on the sidewalk in Key West on our honeymoon and we still had not gotten them framed until now.  He even framed a small print so I could take it to work.  Then he surprised me with a huge collage in remembrance of our first dance wedding song.  Well, it was one that James put a lot of effort into picking out, we choreographed a dance to it, bought the cd but due to a hangover from the bachelor party, James accidently forgot the cd for the wedding so we had to improvise with “Fly Me to the Moon.”  Now, don’t get me wrong, that song is great, but if you know James at all he tends to lean towards being different and stepping outside of the box.  The song still means a lot to us and he created a great piece of art work in memory of that day and our “first dance” wedding song.  Don’t tell anyone but James is a romantic.

But wait, there were more gifts.  I opened my card to a find out we were going to the Zac Brown Band concert that night (featuring Blackberry Smoke).  I can’t tell you how excited I was and already thinking about my country boots I was going to break out from the back of the closet.  The band got its start from a little hole in the wall bar two minutes from our house in Smyrna, GA.  So, they not only put out some great music but they our from our neck of the woods.
The night was amazing.  What a great way to celebrate our anniversary!!  I told you my hubby was my Rock Star.
Notice how close we were to the stage, I didn't even use my zoom lens!

But wait, we still had to stick to tradition and eat the topper to our wedding cake.  Yummo!

Happy 1st Anniversary!!
