The past 48 hours, we have seen the personality of Barry Bones start to show and it will steal anyones heart. After a full day at the vet, which included lots of tests and vaccinations, cleaning his wound around his throat, his temperature taken (yikes) and being loved by the staff at the vet, he was glad to be back at the Hardy household. We now give him an antibiotic twice a day with his meals
to prevent any type of infection while the cut is healing.
With a belly full and his body now hydrated (by the way, he loves ice cubes), his energy has greatly improved, so he showed off by romping around in the backyard.

We loosely tied a bandanna around his neck to prevent direct contact to his throat wound for when he just has to scratch. It's about all we can do because of the location of the cut.
With his bandanna on, he looks like he is in pretty good shape.
He still has a recovery ahead of him, healing of his cut and gaining some weight, but I think this champ is going to make a great family member for someone.
He is pretty darn cute, if I don't say so myself.
We take him back to the vet on Friday, ssshhh don't let Barry know, (I am whispering now), to get "fixed." Following that, we are going to spread the word of this little guy
to families every where seeking a new addition to their household.
(Please note: All parties will be put through a full interrogation and interview process.)
